Teller wasn’t exactly part of the plan when he arrived at Mare’s Place in 2024. What started as an unexpected addition to the herd quickly turned into something much more. After taking the time to build trust and get to know each other, we discovered a pony with a lot of potential.
Teller has gone on to do very well in halter, earning several first-place finishes and a Reserve Championship. In 2026, he attended his first ASPC Shetland Congress and placed in the top 10 in five of his six classes. He’s come a long way in a short time, and we’re looking forward to seeing what he does next.
BRED FOR QUALITY AND EXCELLENCE
There is a lot of history behind Teller’s pedigree. He comes from a long line of well-bred Shetland ponies, with familiar names such as Ramble Ridge Rocket, Celebrations of Brush Creek, and Superb appearing throughout his family tree.
His dam brings both Shetland and Miniature Horse breeding to the pedigree and has also proven herself in the show ring, earning three National Halter Championships. Together, Teller’s pedigree brings generations of established bloodlines and accomplished horses and ponies, giving him a strong foundation behind the pony he is today.
TELLER'S BRIGHT FUTURE
Teller is currently in training with the goal of entering the show ring in harness in 2027. He has made great progress so far, becoming comfortable with his equipment and learning to respond to his cues. We’re excited to see him continue developing and take on this next step in his show career.
We’re also hoping to return to the ASPC Shetland Congress in 2027, with Teller once again being part of our show team and building on his success from 2026.
