Indy has been an important part of our program over the years, both as a broodmare and in the show ring. She has produced several quality foals and has also enjoyed showing at open shows, primarily in halter, with a short driving career as well.
Although mostly retired from showing, Indy still makes the occasional appearance in the ring, giving young exhibitors an opportunity to learn and gain experience with her. Her influence on our program can be seen both through her offspring and the many experiences she has shared with her young handlers.
BRED FOR BRILLIANCE
Indy comes from a mix of Miniature Horse and Shetland Pony bloodlines, with some familiar names throughout her pedigree. On the Miniature Horse side, she traces back to horses such as Hemlock Brooks Egyptian King and Bond Sir Galahad. Her Shetland side includes Silver Crescent, Tom Thumb, and Prince of Wales, along with many other horses that have contributed to her unique heritage.
Her pedigree reflects the combination of Miniature Horse and Shetland bloodlines that has shaped Indy and the foals she has produced over the years.
PASSING ON HER LEGACY
Indy has a sensible, confident personality and knows her job, whether she’s in the show ring or raising a foal. She has enough personality to keep things interesting, but has proven to be a dependable mare over the years and has worked with a variety of handlers.
Her foals have inherited many of these same qualities, developing into confident, capable horses with the versatility to take on different jobs. Several have gone on to enjoy the show ring and become valued family horses.
