Hi, I'm Faye!

I started Mare’s Place on Facebook as a tribute to my Missouri Fox Trotter, Mare, who has been part of my life for nearly 20 years. On December 23, 2025, I had to make the heartbreaking decision to put Mare down due to sudden and rapidly progressing health issues. Though she lived a long, beautiful life, the loss has still been deeply felt. Mare was more than just my horse — she was my best friend, my heart horse, and the inspiration behind so much of my artwork and photography. Through her spirit, she taught me to see the beauty in everyday moments with horses. Mare’s Place will continue to honor her memory by sharing her story, along with my equine art, photography, and the journeys I continue to experience with my other horses.

There’s something truly special about the connection between a person and their horse. My goal is to preserve those quiet, powerful moments through photography—so you can hold onto them forever.
